| A long time ago in the northern part of the island of Berk the young Viking, hiccups, wants to join his towns fight dragons that continually raid their town. However, his macho father and village leader Stoik Vast, will not allow his small, clumsy, but inventive son to do so. Regardless of the hiccups ventures out into battle and downs a mysterious Night Rage Dragon his invention, but can not bring himself to kill. Instead, hiccups, and the dragon, whom he dubs Toothless, begin a friendship that would open both their worlds as perceptive boy discovers that his men the wrong species. But even as the two each flight in their own way, they find that they must fight the destructive ignorance of the suffering of the world. |
